Every year, when Devshayani Ekadashi arrives, something divine yet symbolic happens — Lord Vishnu goes into yogic sleep for four months. This period is known as Chaturmas, and while the protector of the universe seems to step back, the universe doesn’t descend into chaos.

Instead… the stage changes, and others take the lead.

🌕 The Divine Duty Roster of Chaturmas:

  • Guru Purnima: Gurus and teachers shine as guides.
  • Shravana Month: Lord Shiva becomes the focal point.
  • Bhadrapada (Krishna Paksha): Lord Krishna’s charm fills the air.
  • Ganesh Chaturthi: Lord Ganesha blesses us with wisdom and clarity.
  • Pitru Paksha: Ancestors are honoured and remembered.
  • Navratri: Maa Durga teaches us courage and transformation.
  • Diwali Season: Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Kuber bring prosperity.

Even in divine absence, the presence of dharma, duty, and devotion continues through others.

✨ The Spiritual Message: Why Lord Vishnu “Steps Back”

Lord Vishnu never says, “I will not protect you.”
He simply whispers through the silence:
“Now it’s your turn to rise. Take the lead.”

By stepping back, He teaches us a powerful lesson:

True leadership is knowing when to step up—and also when to step aside to let others grow.

It’s not about abandoning responsibilities.
It’s about trusting the universe and empowering others.

🌱 What We Learn from This:

Leadership is shared:
We all have moments to take charge—be it at home, work, or emotionally supporting someone.

Life goes on beautifully when duties are shared:
Just as the gods and goddesses gracefully take turns, we must too.

Divine timing is real:
Each energy – Shiva’s intensity, Krishna’s playfulness, Durga’s power – comes at the right time. So will ours.

Don’t wait to be told. Lead when needed:
Even the universe thrives when others step in. We too must stop waiting for permission to shine.

💫 Final Thoughts – From Vishnu’s Sleep to Our Awakening

Chaturmas is not about the “sleep” of a deity.
It’s about the awakening of duty within each of us.
It’s a cosmic invitation to participate, protect, serve, guide, create, and lead.

So the next time life asks you to take charge,
Don’t say, “But who am I?”

Say:
“Even Lord Vishnu rests, so that I may rise.”
And lead the way — with love, wisdom, and courage.

🪔 Soul Tip:
Leadership isn’t about being loud. It’s about showing up when it matters, and sometimes… even stepping back with trust when someone else must rise.
