Who is Maa Skandmata?
On the fifth day of Navratri, we worship Maa Skandmata, the mother of Lord Kartikeya (also called Skanda). She is depicted sitting on a lotus, carrying her divine child Kartikeya in her lap, radiating motherly love and protection. She symbolizes motherhood, courage, and wisdom.
Her blessing is said to bring peace, prosperity, and liberation from all troubles. Devotees believe that worshipping Maa Skandmata not only grants worldly happiness but also leads one closer to the path of moksha (liberation).
