Who Is the Fictional Character You Relate to the Most?
Have you ever watched a movie, read a book, or followed a television series and suddenly thought, “This character is just like me!”
For me, that character is Geet from Jab We Met.
Geet is cheerful, expressive, emotional, talkative, and completely in love with life. She believes that she is her own favourite person—“Main apni favourite hoon.” Honestly, that is not just a dialogue; it is a beautiful lesson in self-love.
Like Geet, I enjoy spreading happiness, speaking my heart, and finding excitement in small moments. Sometimes, I may talk a little too much, become emotionally attached, or make decisions from the heart. But behind that cheerful personality is also a sensitive person who feels everything deeply.
Geet’s journey also shows us something important. Even the happiest people can experience heartbreak, disappointment, and loneliness. A smiling face does not mean that life has always been easy.
There are moments when Geet loses her confidence and forgets the lively person she once was. But slowly, she finds her strength again. This reminds us that difficult experiences may temporarily dim our light, but they cannot take it away forever.
We all have a fictional character hidden inside us.
Some people may relate to Hermione Granger because they are intelligent and responsible. Some may connect with Cinderella because they continue to believe in hope despite difficulties. Others may relate to Bridget Jones because they are imperfect, emotional, funny, and still trying to understand life.
The characters we love often reflect a part of our own personality. They may represent our strengths, our fears, our dreams, or even the person we wish to become.
So today, take a fun little pause and ask yourself:
Which fictional character feels most like you—and why?
Your answer may reveal something beautiful about your personality.
And remember, you do not have to be perfect to be the main character of your story. Be emotional, be different, make mistakes, learn your lessons, and continue moving forward.
Because this is your life, your journey, and your story.
Be your own favourite person.
