What’s something you’ve done that your past self would be proud of?
What’s Something You’ve Done That Your Past Self Would Be Proud Of?
Sometimes we become so focused on what is still missing that we forget to look back at how far we have already travelled.
So today, I want to ask you a simple question:
What’s something you’ve done that your past self would be proud of?
For me, it is not one dramatic achievement.
It is becoming the person who kept going.
There was a version of me who questioned herself, worried about outcomes, carried emotional weight, and wondered whether she was truly moving in the right direction.
Today, I can look back at that version of myself with compassion and say:
“You made it through things you once thought would break you.”
I have continued learning, growing, working, healing, guiding others and becoming more aware of who I truly am.
My journey into spirituality, Tarot, astrology, numerology, healing and counselling has taught me something beautiful: growth is rarely loud.
Sometimes growth is choosing peace instead of reacting.
Sometimes it is setting a boundary you were once afraid to set.
Sometimes it is walking away from what no longer respects your soul.
Sometimes it is starting again after disappointment.
And sometimes it is simply waking up and deciding, “I will try one more time.”
Your past self is watching your journey
Think about yourself five or ten years ago.
What were you praying for?
What frightened you?
What did you desperately want to understand?
What felt impossible at that time?
Now look at yourself today.
Maybe you became financially independent.
Maybe you healed after heartbreak.
Maybe you learned to say no.
Maybe you changed careers.
Maybe you became a parent, entrepreneur, healer, creator or simply someone who finally started choosing themselves.
Not every victory comes with applause.
Some of the greatest victories happen quietly inside us.
Be proud of the person you are becoming
You do not need to have everything figured out to celebrate your progress.
You are allowed to be proud of the battles nobody saw.
You are allowed to honour the version of yourself who survived confusing chapters and still kept believing in better days.
And you are allowed to appreciate yourself before reaching the next milestone.
Today, take a moment and tell your past self:
“Thank you for not giving up. I am becoming someone you would be proud of.”
Because somewhere between all the mistakes, lessons, tears, courage, healing and hope, you have already become stronger than the person who once wondered whether they could make it this far.
✨ Reflection for Today
Ask yourself:
What have I done, survived, learned or created that my younger self would feel proud to see today?
Write it down.
Own it.
Celebrate it.
Your journey deserves recognition too.
Love & Light,
Himani Goyal
